People look at the work and say, oh that’s a feasible solution, and they use it and add their things to it and take things away – that’s the point of design to move things on….

In the early summer of this year I check out this exhibit at MOCA here in Los Angeles. It featured various works by Lawrence Weiner. I had almost forgot about going to it, but what made me remember was when I recently stumbled upon Hillman Curtis’s website and saw one of his videos on Lawrence Weiner. Weiner’s work is very intresting because he breaks that barrier where graphic design and typography becomes art. I went on the day of the oppening of the exhibit and I was lucky enough to hear his lecture about his work. He explained how he developed his own typeface to showcase in his work. Check out more of his work on his website.
