So 2011 came and went, now what? Lets press on shall we. This new year has already started off with a busy agenda that must be handled swiftly. I’m hopeful for a big change in my career, among other things that I feel need a fresh coat of paint. It amazes me how stale things become when you’re not paying attention, there’s just never enough time to do all the things you want to do.
Observing how everyone deals with time has always fascinated me. Calendars, outlines, planners, and lists never really work out for me. They’ve always felt so foreign. I guess we all have our own screwy way of dealing with the minutes and the reminders, but for me the occasional mental note or the reused post-it seems to always be enough.
Maybe I shouldn’t concern myself with how I should keep track of my agenda if I don’t have much enthusiasm to invest. What gets me excited is simply doing the tasks at hand and completing them. There’s nothing more rewarding than when you’ve finally reached that mission accomplished feeling, and I find myself feeling less stressed during it all when I’ve kicked the time-monkey off my back.
At the end of the day I’m okay with being all over the place sometimes. I’m passionate with what I do, and I want to be able to always enjoy it. The second I slap the things I love on some To-Do List is when I’ll start to lose interest. Those evil things are just not for me.
